Pownal Vt. Loop

From Pittsfield north on Rt. 7 to Pownal Vt. , Left just past old Dog track on Vt. route 346 to North Petersburg, N.Y. Turn Left on N.Y.State route 22. South to Route 43 Left on Rt. 43 in N.Y. this re-enters Ma. Hancock Ma. Stay on  Rt.
 43 in Ma. 'till Brodie Mt. Rd. Jiminy Peak sign at the corner. Turn right. This runs back into Rt. 7 after a few miles of climbing and a quick descent. Turn right on Rt. 7 back to Pittsfield. Mileage  62.4

From Downtown Pittsfield, North Street north to Tyler St., Tyler To Dalton Ave.,Take Dalton Ave to Allendale Shopping Center. turn Right Rt 8 north. follow 8 to Cheshire Center. Turn right at Church St. Traffic light, follow Church St.,to School St. Location of the "Cheshire Cheese", Turn left. Follow School to Richardson St. turn left again. Richardson to Cheshire Rd. Rt 8, Turning left again. Retrace your tracks to Pittsfield progessing South on Rt. 8 , or you can return on the Ashtiwllticook Bike Trail on your right heading south by the Hoosac "Cheshire" Lake Dam. 22.0 Miles

Hinsdale Hillclimb

From Downtown Pittsfield, North Street left to East Street, east to Elm Street a right, follow till it ends,left on Williams St.Williams St to Washington Mt. Rd at Burgner's Farm Store, slight right, Next Left Kirchner Road. Stay on Kirchner, becomes Blotz road in Dalton, Mass. and Pittsfield Road in Hinsdale, here the climb ends.Sharp left hand turn heading north on Rt.8 back to Hinsdale's Center thru town still on Rt. 8 down the hill back to Dalton, Mass. thru town to Allendale Shopping Center, Pittsfield. Stay on Dalton Ave (Straight thru the 2sets of lights). Dalton Ave runs into Tyler St .Straight back to North  Street Downtown Pittsfield.
